ALBERT O. ZEH

Albert O. Zeh was born in Arlington on February 6, 1948, to Billy and Grace Zeh. Al attended Wakefield High School, Northern Virginia Community College, and the Benjamin Franklin University of Accounting. He has worked in the banking industry since 1968.

At age 8, Al was introduced to bowling by his late father, an NCABA Hall of Famer. Three years later, he joined a junior league at Pentagon City. In 1972, he became an ABC member, and has carried a high average of 203 and has a top series of 772. He's been a league champion eight times.

Due to his enthusiasm and reputation as a hard worker and bowling promoter, Al was elected to the NCABA board of directors in 1980. Six years later, he was elected fifth vice president and became president for the 1991-92 season.

With his financial background, Al eagerly accepted appointment to serve the association on the Finance Committee. In 1985, he was finance chairman of the (ABC President) Paul Mohn Induction Committee.

In 1990, he was chairman of the Hall of Fame Committee; he has been co-chairman three times. He has chaired the Program Evaluation Committee and also has served on the BVL Committee.

Al had bowled in the NCABA tournament each year since joining ABC and has bowled in 20 ABC tournaments. He has been an ABC delegate for 15 years.

Albert O. Zeh's love for bowling and his dedication to serving the bowlers make him as excellent addition to the NCABA Hall of Fame.
