February 6, 1993: Top seed John Mazza defeats Norm Duke, 258-225, to capture his fourth PBA title at the True Value Open in Peoria, Ill.


February 6, 1988: Marshall Holman wins four matches, including a 275-211 drubbing of leading qualifier Ron Bell, to win his 21st PBA title at the Bowlers Journal Florida Open in Venice.


February 6, 1982: Dave Husted wins four matches, including a 255-180 conquest of leading qualifier Gil Sliker, to win the BPAA U.S. Open in Houston.


February 6, 1971: Larry Lichstein wins his one and only PBA title by defeating Dave Davis, 234-227, in the title match of the Ebonite Open in San Jose, Calif. This tournament featured a 16-man match play field that consisted of all left-handers.
